Another year older and perhaps slightly wiser, I had to do the wise thing and buy this stunning effort by Beltez. While less avant-garde and more direct than A Grey Chill and a Whisper, this album is a tour de force of melancholic and dark melodies, equally comfortable at breakneck speeds as it is in its more contemplative moments. Atmospheric to the hilt, the robust production value makes this feel far more powerful than most ABM contemporaries. Be wise, do the right thing, and buy this! Ippocalyptica
US / Swiss Black / Cosmic / Ambient Metal. This is a truly awsome album with some fantasticly intense playing & great haunting atmospheres. At almost 80 minutes it is a little daunting but well worth it! A true work of art & highly recommended!!! bmurator
Totally overlooked this, but it’s now made its way high up my aoty list. Vocals again are a gem, that guitar sound is to die for, and such clever songwriting. Even when the bright guitar lines kick in, there is a pervasive abyss-level melancholy here that hits harder for feeling pensive, philosophical. One of my most listened-to albums this year.
