Nightmarish avant-garde black metal twisting the very confines and structure of the genre. Blut Aus Nord presents a staggering second album in the series that brings together their black metal origins, pioneering filthy industrial grime, and progressive / post metal wanderings all into an insane world
Dense and swirling, dissonant and complex, enshrouded in a abyssal darkness. Spun from expansive soundscapes steeped in an aura of complete blackness, offering a view into the universe of madness Lorenzo

Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10 RJ

After a few listens, it's clear that I'm not as fond of this as their last release Krupinské Ohne. I still enjoy their weird mix of heavy metal and black metal. Bart

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
